Remembered Textures

In April 2023, my work was selected for the juried exhibition Looking After: Photography as an Act of Care, hosted by Capture Photo Festival in Vancouver.

I presented Remembered Textures, a photo triptych created during my time studying at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. This work is a reflection of my struggle to find connection with a landscape I was dislocated from and which held strong memories for First Nations peoples, specifically the Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish Nations. The works were made on several visits to Lynn Creek and various water sources around the Burrard Inlet.
