Home Station

Since moving to Australia, I have been continually making work on my relatives’ cattle station in North East Victoria. The history this land holds is deep and brutal. I have been exploring my relationship to this place through making polaroid photographs and drawings. There are layers to this place, mirrored in the translation between photograph and drawing. At what point am I engaging with the landscape? How much of its history is knowable and felt?
