The Cairngorms

In 2022, inspired by writings by Nan Shepherd (The Living Mountain), I made a series of photographs in the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. I was interested in photographs containing the memory of a place and the act of photographing as a deepening of relationships with place. Through re-visiting these images in the editing and printing process, I was re-membering the walks we made and considering the impressions the landscape left on me and me with it.
